Part of the joint project by the Nicolai class for an artistic intervention in the Robotron Kantine, Dresden.

For the design of the Robotron Kantine, the architects Zimmer, Schramm and Thiel used the standardised building elements from the serial production of the GDR and developed new forms and an entirely new building.
Today we associate "Plattenbau" with boring monotony instead of efficient social housing. But even the standardised WBS 70 buildings are not the same: concrete production in different regions of the GDR results in colour variations of the concrete, such as the Leukewitz red.
